My presentation.

Good afternoon, Welcome to Procter and Gambel´s presentation.

My name is Jacqueline Rivera. I have worked for Procter and Gamble Company since 2007.
Actually I work in the marketing department. I am responsible for creating and developing new brands and making annual marketing plan. I coordinate all the commercial activities.

Procter and Gamble was founded in 1837 by William Procter and James Gamble. They started making and selling their soap and candles. Currently our company has one of the largest and strongest portfolios of trusted brands, including Pampers, Tide, Ariel, Always, Pantene, Bounty, Folgers, Pringles, Charmin, Downy, Iams, Crest, Actonel and Olay and services of superior quality and value to consumers in over 180 countries.

Three billion times a day, P&G brands touch the lives of people around the world. Our corporate tradition is rooted in the principles of personal integrity, respect for the individual and doing what's right for the long-term.

Procter and Gamble has been recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the 40 Best Companies for Diversity.

OUR PURPOSE…We will provide branded products and services of superior quality and value that improve the lives of the world's consumers, now and for generations to come. The Procter and Gamble community consists of over 138,000 employees working in over 80 countries worldwide. What began as a small, family-operated soap and Candle Company now provides products and services of superior quality and value to consumers in over 180 countries.

In 2002 we had 23 brands that generated 36 billions. In 2003 we had more that double the number of brands that generated 23 billions or more in sales.

As you can see in this part of the graphic that our sale have fallen because we did not launch new brands to the market but the next year the sales increased by 40 billions to 70 billions approximately and the sales remain unchanged in 2006. Currently we have 96 brands that generate 100 billions and our sales soar very fast each year.


The next semester we will have a meeting with Guillette for creating and launching new brands that satisfy different consumer groups. Whit this brands we are going to penetrate new markets. Also we are going to export our products to Germany.

2. WEEK´S REFLEXION.

In the second week Gloria and me could talk about the corruption. We think that the corruption is a human conduct that affected the society and we could use the prhases that the book has , for example...It´s obvious that, we all Know that, have you considered?, etc.

It was important for me because I could speak English.

4. WEEK´S REFLEXION.

This week was especial because I can answer the tests correctly, and I think that is a result of my work because every day I studied the topic that I saw in the clasroom.

In this week I learn the passive form and the active form, but I didn´t undertand very well and I think that I should study this weekend for the exam....jajajajajaja.

3. WEEK´S REFLEXION.

This week we practiced the report speach and I think that is very easy and we could read a article about the freedom.

I learned to use signs of punctuation (comma,semicolon,colon,etc.)

I think that is very important but for me it was very confusing. I know that is necesary but was very difficult.

I think that this week was difficult but is an opportunity for learn more.

SELL OR DO NOT SELL. THE DILEMMA


The Hershey Company is the largest North American manufacturer of quality chocolate and sugar confectionery products.

Hershey's principal product groups include: confectionery products sold in the form of bar goods, bagged items and boxed items; grocery products in the form of baking ingredients, chocolate drink mixes, peanut butter, dessert toppings and beverages.

I think that selling the factory is a mistake because the sale of this company can affect more than 13,000 employees worldwide and the schools for the children that Mr. Hershey founded to help them.

It is important that the board trustees analyze the strengths, the opportunities, the weaknesses and the threats in the sale of the company and if there are more threats then sale can be the best option. But if the strengths and the opportunities are more then the board trustees should search news source of investment and that with this decision do not affect the employees.

1.WEEK´S REFLEXION

I learned to use gerund (after prepositions, as a noun, after certain, after expressions) and infinitives (after adjective, showing purpose and after certain verbs).

In this class we practice speaking with some sentences using vocabulary of the unit and did exercises of book.

We did an exercise with some sentences that is type memorama. This activity was very fun.

I like the class. It is very easy and I can learn day to day.
